Every Monday, Vuela's Viral Finder scans YouTube Shorts about AI video and flags the ones that pulled far more views than their channel has subscribers. These are the numbers for the week of October 5, 2026.
Key findings this week
- 40 AI Shorts from channels with fewer than 30,000 subscribers have passed 200,000 views and show up in YouTube's search results for AI video this week.
- The median one got 558× more views than its channel has subscribers: 2.2M views on a channel of 3.1K subscribers.
- 8 of the 40 channels were less than 3 months old. A brand-new channel can break out.

Methodology
- Source: Vuela's Viral Finder, which searches YouTube Shorts for AI video topics and reads each video's views and its channel's subscribers and creation date.
- A Short counts as a breakout when it has at least 200,000 views, comes from a channel with fewer than 30,000 subscribers and got at least 20× more views than the channel has subscribers.
- The data is refreshed automatically every Monday. Figures are a snapshot of that day: views keep growing after it.
- Limitations: YouTube Shorts only, and only what YouTube's search shows for AI-video topics, not the whole platform. YouTube does not always expose the publish date, so a video can be older than this week: the list reflects what is being surfaced now, not what was published now. Channel age is estimated from the channel creation date.
