Add the EU AI-content label to your video

Free and in your browser. Overlay the European Commission's official AI-transparency icon on any video - no sign-up, and your file never leaves your device.

Why label AI-generated video?

From 2 August 2026, the EU AI Act (Article 50) makes transparency about AI-generated content the standard. It splits into two different duties:

If you publish the content

Whoever publishes a deepfake or AI-generated content has to disclose it to viewers in a clear way. A visible label like this one is a simple way to make that disclosure.

If you generate the content

Whoever generates the content (the AI tool) has to mark it in a machine-readable way - provenance metadata plus an invisible watermark. Vuela handles that for you when it creates your video.

What this tool does

  • ✅ Adds the EU's official, visible AI-content label
  • ✅ Runs entirely in your browser - nothing is uploaded
  • ✅ Free, no sign-up, no watermark of ours

What it does not do

  • • It is an optional visible label, not legal advice
  • • It is not the machine-readable marking the law asks the generator for
  • • Burned-in pixels can be cropped by re-editing

Frequently asked questions

Is this tool really free and without sign-up?

Yes. It runs entirely in your browser, there is no account and no upload - your video is processed on your own device and never sent to a server.

Are these the official EU icons?

Yes. They are the European Commission's official AI-content labels, published in June 2026 and free to use. Their use is optional; the tool simply overlays them for you.

Does adding this label make me legally compliant?

It is a visible disclosure aid, not legal advice. From 2 August 2026 the EU AI Act (Article 50) asks the party that generates AI content to mark it in a machine-readable way, and the party that publishes a deepfake to disclose it. This visible label can help with that disclosure, but it does not by itself establish compliance.

Can the label be removed?

It is burned into the pixels, so a viewer can see it, but it can be cropped or removed by re-editing. It is not a tamper-proof or machine-readable mark.

What video sizes work?

Up to 500 MB and about 10 minutes, at up to 1080p (larger videos are downscaled). For anything bigger, generate and label your video inside the Vuela app.

Generating the video too?

When Vuela creates your video it adds the machine-readable provenance and invisible mark the AI Act asks the generator for - not just the visible label. Try it free.
